• What is a Blog Chain?
I am learning that Blogging is not just about rambling on and on about nothing that no one wants to read. This profound exercise called Blogging, is rather a well orchestrated narrated collection of links, like links in a chain that contribute to the whole for the purpose of the site. I guess you could say that each blog is like the “link” in the chain that holds the site together to make one strong chain of blogs. I know that I am still such a newbie blogger. However, I am working my way through the blog-world maze to learn how to do it and how to do it better. It is an art to collect appropriate links. However there is more to it…
You will notice this chain has double hooks. I am learning that there has to be a double hook with each blog link. One to capture a readers interest and the other to hold their interest to respond to something in the blog to keep them coming back to your site. I am learning about this double-action function.
A blog does afford me the luxury of expanding on the news and story behind the headlines of my ministry. I am learning to make it interesting, use variety, keep it pertinent, shorter is better, organize it so more information is available to those who want it. Use good pictures and illustrate every story. Speak of all my experience in the first person. Encourage interactive participation and get feedback for improvement. Keep up with what is current and still alternate with experience and pertinent human-interest stories from my past. Exercise the ability to correct my own mistakes and have a format that allows me the ability to go deeper and get broader into areas of interest. There should be something for anyone who comes. It should reflect what my evangelistic passion and ministry vision is about. These ideas seem to be guiding my thought at this early stage.
After completing my first month of serious blogging and fifty posts, I think you might say, “I am becoming a blogger now!” I am aware that I am creating links in my blog-chain with double hooks to get interest and to keep interest. I have a rather small chain now, but I am growing it. Watch out! Here I come with the strength and power of a big-chain handler. It is both challenging and fun.

Karl, Thanks, I read your blog four or five times. I thought it was really good. I will recommend that others read it too. Too Good, amigo. I like it. I am trying to apply what seems to fit me, I think I have a ways to go to even come close to your expertise and experience. I have not missed any meals, maybe a little sleep. Barney
