On Aug. 15th, the 60th Anniversary of Independence Day in India, Sathyam Publications announced the release of the Malayalam version of the Dake’s Annotated Reference Bible. Malayalam is the language of the Indian State of Kerela. Although the Bible has been translated in the Malayalam language, there never has there been an Annotated Reference Bible translated in the vernacular of Kerela. This is historic! This is not all…

I have seen this voluminous work. This translation of the Dake’s Study Bible includes over 3,000 pages and is leather bound, with a zipper. This new publication involved years of translation work by a team of translators. There are thousands of Pastors and Bible students in Kerela that now will have this helpful study Bible in their own language.

This Dake’s translation has been the eleven-year dream and vision of Chako Vadavana (C.V.), the President/Executive Director of Sathyam Ministries, whose vision statement is “Souls Through God’s Word.”

This extraordinary volume was dedicated to the Glory of God on Aug. 15, 2007 at the Sathyam Ministry headquarters in Kerela. Rev. David Mills, from La Mirada, California presided over the dedication event. The auditorium was jam-packed with excited leaders and there was and still is a huge demand for this Bible. Many waited for the release date.

It is now available for all and is now being distributed throughout the state. This is another significant Sathyam Publication (among hundreds of others) that will assist the church in India. Sathyam Publications has now begun their next project to translate the Dake’s Study Bible into the Hindi language.
