This photo was taken in Hollywood on the occasion of our last Board Meeting. Our two-year terms as officers expired in December. It has been a wonderful couple of years serving on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians. Much has been learned and experienced together. After four years in office, as the former President and the current Treasurer, I will be going off the Board for awhile. We will all cherish the memories of these great moments. Let me see, some of the highlights were: A couple of great Creative Arts Conferences, the American Bible Society T.V. Documentary on Gospel Magic, an evening with Andre Kole and Ray Comfort, three group outreaches (Valencia, Yucca Valley, and Legg Lake programs), Maximum Entertainment book study series, my four month series on Children’s Evangelism and the expansion of our Resource Library. Then there was the evening that Joe Moratta broke the Guinness Record for the most Handcuff Escapes in an hour. Many of us had some great outreach opportunities (i.e., camps, conferences, rallies, church services, workshops, seasonal events, etc) even some “out-of-country” trips (i.e., China, Mexico, Panama and India). What could we say about just meeting at the Magic Castle in Hollywood every month? I started down this road to remember some of the highlights and realized there are too many to list them all. Then there was the Christmas Dinner Party this week, such a good time together.

I know I speak for the Board, by saying… Thanks for the privilege we have had serving you all this past couple of years. We now look forward to another couple of years. Oh, by the way, we are not going anywhere, we all plan on being just as active in the group. Michael LaFond will be our new President (shown above, next to me)
