• Miracle CD Story
In preparation for the latest Baja Kid Mission before Christmas, we needed a CD of Spanish Christmas music. We learned that there was a new one for children that was really good, called Canciones de Navidad para Ninos. It had many familiar tunes with some more contemporary arrangements, which we felt would “jazz” up the children’s ministry, plus it was a split track too. However, when Livia, our music teacher, tried to secure a copy, it was not available at the stores she tried. The holiday was closing in on our departure and we were now getting desperate to find it.
So on Wednesday, two days before our Dec. 21st trip….
Livia and I spent an entire afternoon searching the internet for a way to purchase the CD or to download and purchase the songs we wanted. We exhausted our only four hour window, which resulted in no real solution. Frustrated, we had made no progress; we gave up trying. We were standing the parking lot, ready to leave, when it occurred to me that we had not really prayed about this. So I mentioned it to Livia and we concluded that neither of us had really prayed about finding this CD. So we stopped right there in the parking lot and asked God to help us, we could not find this CD. We prayed that if God wanted us to have this for our ministry to Mexico that He would have to provide it for us.
That evening I had an appointment to record Spanish voices for our short puppet show at the home of one of my proteges. We finished quickly and I was driving home, when it occurred to me to call Adrianna back and ask if she know of this CD. To my amazement, she said she know of it. In fact, she had a copy, but had not used it yet. So I asked if I could use it for my Kid Mission Trip. She readily agreed to let us use it. So, I gladly went back to her home to pick it up. Then I found out the Adrianna works for a Spanish product distribution company that had 200 of the CD’s. They sold all of them, except this last one, which she bought.
I called Livia and told her that I had the CD. We both marveled at how God provided this “Miracle CD” for us, just in time for our last training meeting the next night. We were able to rejoice with our team just how God provided for our needs. It is sometimes the little things that God does for you to helps us know He is still in charge.
The very next night Livia was able to teach our Children’s Ministry Team the Christmas music from the “Miracle CD.”
