Original Pancake House
Kidmin Boys Morning Out

The Kidologist called the Kidhelper to determine whether he was up for a morning out for Breakfast. Sure, why not, it’s not every morning that Karl Bastian is in town from Colorado. So I took him to a special place that my family always enjoyed…the Original House of Pancakes. The place was packed by 9 am, so I went a little early to reserve a spot. I was correct in anticipating that, so by time Karl arrived, i had already ordered his breakfast.  Just to justify their giving me a table for four with only one person there. The place really is not all that big and there are always persons waiting. It is worth the wait.  However,

I just love their Famous Oven-Baked Apple Pancakes, you can see by this photo that it fills the plate and the appetite. In our case, we could not eat it all. Karl was pretty impressed with my choice, he had never had anything quite like it before (or so he told me). The crowds continued to grow and we felt a bit guilty attempting to talk, when they really wanted our four seats.

So we took some food “to go” and packed it up. We continued our conversation at a Jack in the Box down the street. As it worked out, Karl’s scheduled changed and we ended up going out for lunch too. So in all we spent over five hours, solving all the worlds problems and still had more we could have worked through, but it was a great time. Sure was nice to have some quality time to share and learn from each other.

So that is the story of what happened when the Kidmin Boys got together for Breakfast.
