We were in Panama at the time. We had just finished our Sunday worship time and Bible study. The time of our departure from Panama was at hand. We were rejoicing about what God had accomplished for us in our Panama-Mission Trip, when one of the parents asked that all the children’s-ministry team gather for a moment to pray for their leader, me. I had previously told them that I might be going to India in a few weeks. So the children’s ministry team (we have worked together for two years) gathered around and they laid their hands on me and began to fervently pray for me, and my upcoming India trip.

I was so touched by their sincere, spontaneous gesture to pray for me, that I had difficulty holding back a tear or two. God had been with us in Panama, His blessing had been obvious. But I was feeling very “alone” about going to India, hardly anyone knew I was going yet. In the weeks that followed that prayer meeting, God raised up others to pray for me. This added with prayers of my team, I was feeling more ready, and less alone. It seemed fitting to me, that a Kid Mission should involve some “prayers by children for children.”

The answers to their prayers came. God moved in a mighty way. He revealed His presence to me in India. Although I traveled with my hosts “alone,” I did not feel in anyway “alone” there. It was God that blessed me through these children. God made me a blessing to over 4,000 kids in India. I am convinced that God honors the requests of children, especially His own children. Hundreds of the children responded the gospel in India. I am thankful that my team prayed, it was such an encouragement to me.

Hi Pastor Barney!
This is Constance. I saw my picture on the website. Maybe I should have dusted off my backpack before that picture was taken! Your trip to India was really amazing. God bless, Constance
