• Bulletin from Mission Maine

bulletin-mission-maine.jpg

This bulletin was one of the most colorful promotional pieces I ever had for my Children’s Ministry. This was done for the Six City- Wide Kid’s Celebrations for Mission Maine in 1999. These meetings for kids where held in partnership with the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association.

I thought some of you might like to see the good job they did to promote my work in four of the six cities. They were distributed in all the participating churches in each of the four cities. There was another bulletin that was reprinted, just like this one, for two more cities. This ministry came about because of my involvement with the Next Generation Alliance sponsored by the Luis Palau Evangelistic Association.

If you are interested in seeing how we handled the Registration, look on the backside…

• Next Generation Alliance

luis-palau-barney.jpg

I was so excited to have this photo taken with Luis Palau in 1998 at the first NGA Gathering.

What is the Next Generation Alliance? It is a group of evangelists that Luis Palau Evangelistic Association has called together to perpetuate the work and ministry of proclamation evangelism for the future generation. The Palau organization has gained years of experience and expertise in evangelism. They determined that they would, annually, pull together others in the field and help them with the future of their evangelistic work. So it is their purpose to perpetuate the cause of evangelism by investing in the ministry of younger leaders who could carry on this ministry. I attended my first NGA gathering in Portland, Oregon in the spring of 1998. Since that time I have made an annual trek to participate.

Every time I have gone…

• Riddle #3, What Am I?

Riddle Me This…What Am I?

Eager and reluctant lips, I’ve seen.
A spectator to the amorous, I’ve been.

I am green with envy, and in fashion,
With a quick peck, I could cause passion.

I have seasonal hang-ups, laying in wait,
For the timid, I improve their gait.

They say, “Life is a bowl of cherries.”
I am the overrated “winter berry.”

Without me, just a hug would be, stupid.
I am the celebrated “yuletide cupid.”

I am a ____________________________

• Design of Barrel Table

Posted by: kidhelper on Thursday, November 8th, 2007

barrel-table_1.jpg

This is my Barrel Table, one of my own exclusively made props that has served me for years of ministry. Now I am hereby displaying the inner workings of the design, and adding it to my Barrel Works Collection. It was designed to be both a table and place to hid my props during a show. However, it also afforded me a place to dispose of my props after the show, so that kids who came up to greet me, would not be able to get into my magic or props. I could easily just insert them into the barrel compartments and closed it up.

Originally, I thought I could…

• Secrets of the Kingdom

Posted by: kidhelper on Tuesday, November 6th, 2007

jester_3.jpg

This Funny-Fun Foto was taken of yours truly when asked to be the speaker for a Vacation Bible School at the Sunrise Baptist Church in Sacramento, CA. As a Court Jester, I was able to welcome the children to the Kingdom, this was Gospel Light’s VBS theme for the series. The Court Jester entertains the King and knows the King. Being around the King’s Court he would learn the secrets to the Kingdom. So the Jester was in a good position to not only make the kids laugh, but also to reveal the “Secrets of the King and His Kingdom.”

So I developed a new five-part series that I called, “Secrets of the Kingdom.”

• A Restful Day Away

condo-pool.jpg

The lure of some fresh air, a wonderful sunny day and thought of jumping into a warm jacuzzi was just too inviting. It was another restful day away. I tried to avoid much of the Friday night traffic, but I caught some anyway. I settled in, for what promised to be, a restful day on Saturday, which it has been. I even managed to find my way to the jacuzzi after all, how refreshing. I even worked in a little nap. I tend to get some writing done here in this rather quiet, at times, almost empty gated community.

There are 144 condo units here…

• My Floral Bouquet #3

white-flowers-est.jpg

This beautiful tree blossom photo was taken on my second trip to Estonia, in the city of Viljandi. They were in full bloom in the middle of the summer. It is unknown to me what kind of tree formed these delicate pedals dancing with the breeze. I was immediately struck by their clustering together. But upon closer look, I saw the obvious individual effort of each blossom…

• Dangerous Tigers Sighted

Posted by: kidhelper on Thursday, November 1st, 2007

tigersrus.jpg

It is true, the neighborhood was frightened to death by two Tigers that roamed freely in the streets of Lutherville, MD, last night. One nervous family reported that, “These fearless Tigers came right up to their door and growled.” Can you imagine it? They were so frightened that they throw food at them, and closed their door. They were hoping that those dangerous Tigers would just go away. Finally, the Tigers went down the street, scaring everyone is sight. People ran into their homes, really scared. They had never seen Tigers in this neighborhood before.

For the rest of the report…
