• Santa’s Reindeer Spotted

This is a Funny Fun Foto of our two grandsons Benjamin and Tennyson each sporting thier Reindeer antlers this Christmas. As it turned out neither of them were Rudolph, but more likey, they were Prancer and Dancer. Sharon and I were really excited to be able to share some time with them in Baltimore just after Christmas. They both are really our “deer” grandchildren, after all.
• Successful Baja-Kid Mission
It was the weekend before Christmas. The two white buses were loaded with seventy members of our team, plus the buses were loaded with gifts, food, and medicine. I remember thinking…why would we all leave our families so close to Christmas to go on a mission trip like this?
Let me share some of the story that answered this question…
• Miracle CD Story

In preparation for the latest Baja Kid Mission before Christmas, we needed a CD of Spanish Christmas music. We learned that there was a new one for children that was really good, called Canciones de Navidad para Ninos. It had many familiar tunes with some more contemporary arrangements, which we felt would “jazz” up the children’s ministry, plus it was a split track too. However, when Livia, our music teacher, tried to secure a copy, it was not available at the stores she tried. The holiday was closing in on our departure and we were now getting desperate to find it.
So on Wednesday, two days before our Dec. 21st trip….
• Sarah Turned Thirty

My son Kevin’s wife, Sarah, celebrated her thirtieth birthday last Sunday. So we all went all to a nice Spanish restaurant to enjoy the occasion of her birth. Her mother, Moreen, from San Jose, was in town which made the time even more special. Here Sarah is posing with her new pair of shoes. It was a fun time. We are so glad to have her as part of the family.
• Angel-Tree Outreach

Jasmine was one of the recipients of a church’s generosity. Her arms were full of gifts from the Christmas Outreach for Angel-Tree Kids. The Bellflower Church was trying to reach out to children who had a father in prison. I was not really sure what to expect, neither were the leaders. We could have had a dozen children, but we just had one mother and five children show up. My assignment was to share the real meaning of Christmas.
Then, an amazing thing happened…
• Our Christmas Greetings

It’s been another great year. Sharon and I are very grateful for how God has blessed us this year. We have been married for over 41 years now and we have experienced many great Christmas holidays together, but we would have to tell you that being with our grand children during these days is just unimaginable joy to us. We will be making the rounds to visit them all this Christmas, Sacramento, Baltimore and La Mirada, plus a Mexico Kid Mission. (see the Schedule)
By now, maybe you didn’t hear Kevin and Sarah’s news…
• Focusing on Jesus

My grand daughter Madison is discovering the manger scene at our house. Every time that she visits now, she has to go the table where the creche is located just to pick up the baby Jesus from the manger. We review all the members of the scene and talk to her about the baby Jesus.
Of course, this is the introduction process to our Christmas traditions.
• Our Last Board Meeting

This photo was taken in Hollywood on the occasion of our last Board Meeting. Our two-year terms as officers expired in December. It has been a wonderful couple of years serving on the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Magicians. Much has been learned and experienced together. After four years in office, as the former President and the current Treasurer, I will be going off the Board for awhile. We will all cherish the memories of these great moments. Let me see, some of the highlights were:
• Snowing in Whittier?!

It is quite rare that it snows in Whittier, CA, but this photographic moment captured just such a time last Christmas. This Funny-Fun Foto was taken of our family at Whittier Area Community Church on Christmas Eve 2006.

• Riddle #6, What Am I?

Riddle Me This! What Am I?
Here I sit day and night,
When better made, I sit secure and tight.
Woe to others, if I leak.
I do not date, but I go out once a week.
I am not a hobby, but I collect most every day.
For removing stuff, I am here to stay.
I am the object of pitch and stow.
What’s on the inside, most will never know.
Unwanted, I am the finder’s keeper.
Wanted, I am the looser’s weeper.
I am a _____________ _______
